Maps_Good vs. Bad

Above is an example of a bad map. It appears more time was spent entering the names to the left of the map then was spent on the map itself. There is too much 'clutter' on this map. it draws away from the purpose of the map. The two differing information sets (aquifer and recharge area) are overlaid in a way that leaves the viewer questioning if they are seeing the full areas covered by each data set.

Above is an example of a good map. It has a limited amount of information that it is providing and provides that information in a very simple and easy to understand way. There is no real 'clutter' to this map as shown on the first map.
