Module 11

I chose this location for my proposed wind farm based on several factors (I also understood the wind farm needed to be on land).

Primarily, the local wind speeds are sufficient for the turbines. There is a minimal number of birds that migrate through the area. The nearest residences are roughly 0.5 miles distant. There are several tree stands in the area that would also break up any noise/sight irritations. The site is easily accessed from an interstate (~3 miles distant) to a local highway (~0.25 miles distant) to a local road that travels dirrectly in front of the site. Also, there is a moderate sized city ~1.8 miles, as the crow flys, to the northeast of the site.

Module 10

Above is my precipitation map for the state of Georgia. I did not have much difficulty working with this lab. For the most part, things went pretty smoothly. I did work on getting the north arrow a little more interesting for this map. I also opted to not include a legend as I felt the statement concerning the precipitation as well as the numbers located on the map would be explanatory enough for people reviewing the map.

Module 9

Above is my flow map depicting the immigration of legal immigrants to the U.S. I really didn't have to many problems with this Module. I thought it was interesting to see where the most immigrants were coming from. I woudl have figured that more would come from Europe and less from Asia.

Module 8

Above is the Dot Map assignment. This assignment went pretty well. I seemed to have some difficulty with Excel on this go around.

Module 7

I definitately do NOT care for Adobe Illustrator now. I guess I am just not that bright, because I feel lost and thuroughly frustrated using it. It seems like buttons and such just randomly disappear and are no longer in the same place when I try to relocate them. This has been by far the most difficult Module yet.

Module 6

Map 2 is below. It was not too difficult. I had some minor issues with the Illistrator. Map 1 is below. It was pretty easy to work through.
